NICOLE KAWEHI NAVARRO was born on August 21, 1987 and currently 21 years of age. Miss Navarro graduated from Kaimuki High School and is currently attending Kapi'olani Community College and UH Manoa to enter into the Elementary Education Program.
NICOLE KAWEHI NAVARRO is a haumana (hula student) with the Women of Halau Ka Waikahe Lani Malie, under the direction of kumu hula, Blaine Kamalani Kia. In hula Miss Navarro is called by her Hawaiian name, “Kawehi.” She is also respected among the hula school as one of the "‘Alaka’i” or leaders of the halau under Kumu Kamalani. She has been a member of Kumu Kamalani’s halau for 6 years!
KAWEHI is also professionally dancing hula in Waikiki every Fridays at the Outrigger Reef On The Beach, and every Tuesdays at the Waikiki Beach Walk Plaza. She has traveled to Japan over the years in many hula shows
and programs to add to her hula experiences. Kawehi has also been featured as a “Hawaiian Female Hula Dancer” in several modeling contracts with Edgy Lee Productions, “Legends” project, featured in “This Week” magazine to name a few.
KAWEHI has been dancing hula for much of her young life for 15 years. As a young and prospering hula dancer she is dedicated and devoted to her hula and applies the important tools she learns into her daily personal life.
KAWEHI plans to complete her college degree in education, make her way up the ladder in hula to some day become a kumu hula herself, establish a great career, get married and start a family. The PERFECT life for a local “Hula Girl.”
